PowerShot G3 X - Can Not Find Firmware in the Menu

I am trying to use EVF-DC2 with my Powershot G3X. It is not working on this camera. The EVF works on a EOS M6ii so I know the EVF is not defective. I read that I need to have firmware 1.1 or newer, however I can not even find the firmware in the menu. I have googled this topic and other G3X cameras I have seen online have a different menu than what I have. Looks like I am not able to update firmware as I can not even find the option to view the current firmware in camera. I have turned the camera mode to P and A. I have accessed the menu from the powered off position, through the "play" button, all without luck. I have attached pictures of my menus and also the serial number. This camera was purchased used on eBay from a seller in Ukraine.

Does your camera meet the requirements? (Serial number). I have no idea what to expect considering you bought this from the Ukraine.

I'm hoping this is not an obscure piece of hardware that can't be updated. Some Japanese and Russian cameras cannot be upgraded with USA firmware.

Thank you Shadowsports. This explains it. My serial number does not qualify for that firmware update. I learn something new everyday. I'll buy domestically next time. Glad that was resolved quickly.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the feedback. We started seeing this a few years ago and that's when we learned of the firmware and language limitations with cameras from other regions.

Actually if you look at the number...your camera as a 3 at the 6th space so it is available. You need to put the card in the camera not powering the camera. But press the playback button only. You can find it in the options. Its not under the wrench icon. I think i it located at the bottom of the first page.
