Thank you. The camera was given to someone. Agree, not worth cost of repair.

I am sorry to bring up a matter on an old camera that is no longer supported by Canon, but I wanted to see if anyone can help me or direct me for out of warranty/registration support. I have a Powershot A620 digital camera. Everything works fine, but the images on the screen of photos I just took are black. I went through all the trouble shooting steps and I now believe the issue is hardware related. Is there an easy fix by either replacing an internal part cheaply, or is the camera is now just a paperweight?

Greetings ,

A 20-year-old camera with 7.1 megapixels that has stopped working is a paperweight.

Realistically, it can be outperformed by any modern smartphone. Parts availability is probably non-existent. It's 20 years old. Even if you found someone who had parts, the cost to ship and repair would far exceed replacement cost.

It's time for a new camera. 😉
