My camera was recently stolen and the known individual provided a fake serial number of 0310XXXX0288, can anyone at all tell me what model matches that, can someone do an authenticity check. I went to the canon store and even asked customer service and someone please help me out. They are saying that this belongs to a powershot sx740hs.

So essentially my question is whether anybody can confirm what type of model or camera belongs to the serial number 0310XXXX0288. The person who stole my camera has provided me with this serial number (0310) which is different to mine which starts with 832. I know that this is either a fake serial number or belonging to a different camera because I already have a witness who confirmed seeing the 832 serial. I hope this makes sense, please let me know if it needs further explaining! I appreciate any further help!
