Flash on canon powershot sx740 hs says busy

Hello!
I recently purchased a Canon Powershot SX740 HS and when I open the flash the camera automatically goes to “Busy” and won’t take pictures but if I close the flash the camera goes back to taking photos. I researched everywhere and bought a better SD card and still not working…. Any help?

Have you called Canon Support? Especially because the camera has a warranty if purchased recently.

Your camera needs service. The flash is probably giving you a busy message because it is not able to charge the flash circuits. Make sure that you have a well charged battery when using the flash.
