Camera's battery latch broken and it won't turn on.

The camera won't turn on. The battery door closes but it gets detached easily.
I cannot find replacement door anywhere as it is very old camera but i still want to know if there's any way i can somehow fix it.

I am not an expert in camera repair, but unless this camera holds sentimental value, repairing an old camera is usually money thrown away.

One solution--if this camera has sentimental value--would be to go to Ebay and buy an identical camera that is non-operational and swap out the door assembly...assuming that is doable as a DIY.

I've rescued two Pentax 35mm SLRs by swapping out the base plates. I got an MV for $5 with a corroded battery compartment, I removed the baseplate and there was no damage to the camera, so I swapped baseplates with a dead MV1. I got an ME Super for nothing that had the battery compartment cap taped into place because someone obviously stripped the threads so badly the cap would not stay in place. After a 5 minute baseplate swap, the camera was fully operational. I could easily eBay both for $50 each, but for now they are a part of my spare Pentax body stash.

Your camera may be fixable with some ingenuity and some DIY.

Taping the door shut may be your only answer. This "old" model camera isn't worth what it would cost to get it fixed, if even possible.
