PowerShot SX620 HS Trouble Updating Firmware

Trying to do a firmware update for sx620hs.

When I go to 'firm update' after copying the *****###.12 file, I get the error: Update File Error.

How can I fix this?

Hello ETTS,

Are you copying the firmware file (SX620110.FI2) directly to the root of your memory card? The camera will not see the file otherwise. You want to make sure that the file is not inside of any folders on the memory card. You also want to format the card in the camera prior to loading the firmware file on it. This camera model only has the one firmware update which is specific to adding enhanced security for transferring images to the image.canon web service. If you do not update to this firmware version, an error message will appear when sending images and the image will not be sent. If you don't use that web service then you really don't have to do the update.

I formatted the card, and copied it directly on the root of the sd card, but this is the error that I'm getting.

Do you have any idea why this happens?

Ensure correct firmware version, reformat SD card, and try again carefully.

None of these worked. Any more ideas?
