Hi, I've recently acquired myself a Canon Powershot S50. As I've progressed with using the camera, I've realized a problem with the results. It always seemed to be a bit overexposed on the sky with daylight shots and with a flash, it always seemed odd (contrast seemed to be low on some other pictures too and I've tried using other modes). So I've tried comparing the results with a friend's S50, and safe to say something is wrong with mine. Both S50's were using the same settings (mine is the overly exposed one, I've checked if exposure comp was on, but it wasn't). I suspect it's a dirty inner lens, but I don't have the tools to inspect and clean the inner parts of the camera. Anyone has/had a similar problem and/or could tell me on what might be wrong? Thanks.

Looks like a smudged or abraded lens.

I agree with the probability of it being smudged. But is it usually an easy fix by cleaning the inner optics? Or is it going to take more work than that if that's the case? Thanks.

I didn't see any visible smudging/fungus or anything like that from the outer optics suprisingly, even with a shine of light and thorough inspection. I just figured it was something in the inner optics.
