PowerShot SX70 HS shuts off and won't turn back on, AF doesn't always work

Hi, I have a Powershot SX70 HS since 2021. Have there been any software upgrades that I should be aware of?

Recently, my camera shuts off and won't turn back on. Also, the autofocus sometimes doesn't work. Suggestions? Thanks!

I'd suggest starting with basic troubleshooting.

Do you have more than one battery you can test the camera with?

Have you performed a full reset of the camera's settings?

I do not see any available FW for the SX70. Worth noting. Updating the firmware on a camera that is malfunctioning or not behaving as expected is not recommended. Firmware updates are normally to add support for lenses or accessories. Also to add features, address security vulnerabilities, or enhance functions.
