I would suggest it is faster and easier to remove the memory card from the camera and put it in a card reader that connects to your computer and phone.

You can find card readers that plug in to a lightning connector and then the pictures are accessible in the Photos app. For the computer a USB-C card reader with the card in will appear as another drive on your Mac and you can copy the files easily and quickly.

Hello,

I recently found my old Powershot D20. It still works great and everything, but the problem is when I try to transfer the images to my computer and/or phone. It came with a mini usb to usb-a cord, however this was not able to be inputted into my iPhone 11 and MacBook Air (M2). I next tried to purchase a mini usb to usb-c cable in order to connect it to my Mac, but for some reason it didn't work though it was connected. Is there any way I can connect my camera and computer/phone? None of the apps or software that I've found work because of the model of camera. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome.

Like Brian, I think a card reader is the best way to transfer images from a card to a computer.

If you want to use your camera to computer process the MacBook Air has a security feature. You need to authorize USB accessory connections.
