Hello friends: I purchased a PowerShot SX540 HS over two years ago, and I find it terribly cumbersome to have to upload pics to the cloud and then retrieve them there. I was wondering if there is ANY WAY to upload them to my PC and not store them on the cloud. I think I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to consult other users first. Thanks so much!

Turn Wifi off and plug a USB-miniB cable into the digital terminal. If should show up on your computer to allow you to download images.

Absolutely. You don't need ANY program or utility to get pictures to your computer. The USB cable route works, as does taking the memory card out, put it into a card reader and plug it into computer.

Whatever method you are now using, STOP!. If it's something that opens automatically when you connect the camera to the computer, just close it and disable it from happening.
