PowerShot SX70 HS How to download photos to Mac

Frustrated is a small word for this…I bought this camera for my wife for an upcoming trip to Africa. Looking for info how to download images to her Macbook. She is using OS13 something and Canon tells me there is no software for Image Transfer Utility 2 for that OS. So I try a cable to her port on the computer..zero. the manual (which is very hard to find as the QR code only takes you to canon main site..) tells you to use ITU2 which apparently doesn’t work with her OS. The only thing that works is a card reader. Is there a simpler way to download these images to MacBook?

Thanks. I think you are correct…all the software is just more ways to have things screwed up.

Run Image Capture and then plug in the camera. Make sure wifi is off and that you have a good cable. No software is needed to download images to the Mac.

Card reader is one way. My Lenova laptop (W11) has a card slot where I can insert the card and download photos directly to any created file. Good luck.
