    <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These are the likely causes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Faulty or malfunctioning memory card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using a 3rd party battery that is causing an over voltage situation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Faulty image sensor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the lines appear on the LCD and not in photos, it's the LCD.&amp;nbsp; Causes, age of device.&amp;nbsp; Camera being dropped, etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If lines appears in photos, it's the camera's sensor or other hardware inside the camera.&amp;nbsp; Check the memory card.&amp;nbsp; If a new card exhibits the same behavior, it's likely the sensor or internal electronics.&amp;nbsp; Lines appearing in photos must be checked by downloading images off a known good card and viewing on a computer.&amp;nbsp; Seeing them only on the LCD is not an indication of the cause.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let us know what you find out.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
