I would strongly recommend offloading the images to a computer or cloud storage (and such that it would also be backed up). You can then re-format the SD card which should then lead to better performance.

My SX70 HS just started a very rapid green light blink (10 per second?). It occurs when i turn on the camera. I have a 64 GB card with 5470 images on it. That may be the issue. I replaced it with a 4 GB card with 36 images on it. When i turned it on with the small card, the rapid flickering lasted only a second. I have the wi-fi and bluetooth on the camera turned off. Is the camera trying to upload all my photos from the card even though it (supposedly) doesn't have internet access?

Hello dfoxvog,

You are correct. This blinking is caused by the camera accessing the card. The more data on the card, the longer that process may take. The camera is not trying to upload or transfer anything. It is just verifying memory space availability.
