Are in-camera panoramic photos actually a feature of the camera? If you cannot find anything about it in the User Manual, then perhaps it is not.

There is a free image editing app named GIMP. There is a free plug-in for it that allows you to combine a number of separate images into one composite panoramic image. I’ve never used it.

In the manual there is mention of image stabilization during panning, but nothing on “how to pan”…

The term “pan” means to move the camera from side to side in a controlled manner, as you track a subject’s movements.
