SX 720 HS will not connect to my MAC via WIFI or cable!

Hi, I am tech savy, I downloaded the software, I followed the instructions in the manual and in the vidoes I found online. Nada. I read on othere forums that Canon chose to no longer support MAC for this camera. Is this true? If so, I want a refund. I hope someone can help me. TIA.

First, turn off wifi in the camera.

Next make sure you have a real USB cable and not one of the charging-only abominations.

Next plug the camera into the Mac with the USB cable.

Run ImageCapture.
