    <description>&lt;P&gt;what model camera is it? Meanwhile you can try resetting to defaults thru the settings menu just in case some setting is messing you up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Display only works with custom modes</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My camera display and view work just fine in C1, C2 modes. When I&amp;nbsp; adjust the dial to anything else, everything goes black including the menu and function keys.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, when I turn to Auto mode I can hear 3 extremely faint knocks (just once). I need to hold it up against my ear to hear them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It turned out to be the DISP button&amp;nbsp; &lt;img id="womanfrustrated" class="emoticon emoticon-womanfrustrated" src="https://community.usa.canon.com/i/smilies/16x16_woman-frustrated.png" alt="Woman Frustrated" title="Woman Frustrated" /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I got my answer after digging further through all of the posts.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I am so glad I found this site!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
