How do I set up the G7X Mark II as a webcam for FB Live

I want to use my G7X Mark II as the camera feed for a Facebook Live broadcast. Having looked online I'm not getting anywhere fast. I've downloaded Sparkocam and connected the camera via USB to my laptop. However, I'm unable to select my camera from the drop-down menu in Sparkocam. Whilst the camera defaults to showing me my images sorted on my SD card.

Can anyone help?

I don't think any Canon still cameras allow you to stream video over USB.

Thanks for posting.

Canon PowerShot cameras cannot be used as a webcam. Canon EOS digital SLR and EOS Mirrorless cameras do have this capability.

The G7x ii has a hdmi output but you need to buy the cable seperately, I haven't tried it myself but that should work

And how do you turn HDMI into a webcam?
