Powershot G16 did not propper start

I am searching for a reset during Power on. Batterie remove and/or pressing some keys did not work.

Did you try removing the battery and holding the on switch on for about 30 seconds then replace the battery?

yes with and without memory card. pressing "FUNC. SET" during power up will show the time.

Turning the control wheel changes the background color from the display.

Because the quick response from the Canon support was send in for repair.
further search revealed the following:

another request at the Canon support gave the same answer. I have now sent the G16 for repair.

yesterday I got my G16 back.

The following parts were exchanged
   1x PLATE, BODY NUMBER, 13CH
   2x SCREW
   1x COVER ASS'Y, TOP

I gave 111 Euros to the UPS employee.

I don't think so.Christmas and New Year documents with a smartphone. All low-light images are noisy.

My next camera will not be a Canon anymore. Probably an Olympus.
