I was working on a project this past summer for someone that wanted me to take some digital photos of cars at a show, but make them look kind of like film. I volunteered to shoot them on film, but that wasn't the look they wanted. They wanted the crispness of digital, edited to look like film, and a landscape format. I stumbled upon them again today as I was organizing tlast year's photoshoots, and decided to share just a few of them.

Thanks, John! While I'm not old enough to remember when they were new, it's only because I was too young to be interested. I was born by then however. I was 1 when that Ranchero came out.

I very much enjoy when people capture the idiosyncratic features of old cars. I especially love the Bel Air and Tbird.

Thanks, Lee! I'll often go through a car show with a wide lens first, then come back through with a 50mm for shots like these. The BelAir... that has always been the car that comes instantly to my mind whenever anyone says "classic cars". My dad owned a 1957 BelAir wagon back when we were little (early 1960's), and us kids would argue on whose turn it was to sit in the "way back" seat. Good times!
