Great Falls National Park outside Washington DC is on the Potomac and has units in Virginia and Maryland along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal historic trail. This is a view from the Virginia side on a foggy morning.

EOS R5, EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, length 51mm, speed 1/400, aperture f/9.0, ISO 3200.

I have been to this park quite a few times and this is a very interesting view of the river. Very well done. You were at the right place at the right time and knew what to do.
