I love the rare opportunity to shoot high school football in daylight! These three were captured with a Canon 1DX III body equipped with an EF 200-400 f4 with integrated selectable 1.4X extender. I love the versatility of this lens and it is wonderful when there is enough light at a sports event where I don't have to use my f2.8 tele primes.

The first image isn't amazing action but I love the look and style of these two as they match stride for stride down the sideline. This was the second play of the game and a couple of seconds after this capture, #3 peeled off to block a defender while #6 carried it in for the first of his many touchdowns during the game. The second images show a nice play by the defender to pick off a pass intended to be a score for the opposing team. All images captured with the 1DX III and EF 200-400 f4 extender lens @ f4, 1/1250, with auto ISO. RAW files processed through Canon DPP.
