I love this photo (I actually have about 6-7 versions of the scene). I don't love it because of it's photographic quality. To me, the scene depicts a beautiful picture of what it means to grow where you are planted. This tree isn't suppose to grow in this area. There are no other trees like it anywhere. But this tree is tall and strong. It bends with the wind then returns to it's full height when windy conditions subside. The tree provides an example of successful living in the face of adversity.

Where was the photo taken? My complements on moving the tree to the side. I have a book, Digital Photography for Dummies which was written especially for me. This is one of the points made for landscape or portrait photos.

Thanks for the positive feedback. The photo was taken near Specimen Ridge in Yellowstone National Park in September 2024.
