It occupies an area in the sky that is approximately 10 times the size of the full Moon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Pelican Nebula is approximately 1700 light years away, and approximately 10 light years wide.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This image was the result of 3 nights worth of imaging, and a total of 10 hours and 36 minutes exposure.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It was captured using an EOS Ra body and the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens, and associated associated astrophotography gear.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
