The EF 300 f2.8 along with the 200 f2 and 400 f2.8 are all incredible designs and I believe the 300 may be the sharpest of an incredible group.

The 300 is one of my favorites for track and field. I shot this one last week from a very sub-optimal location as I was rushing from a record breaking pole vault to catch the hurdles. I was too far away for the shot but the 300 saved me.

Absolutely I agree. A premium lens for Outdoor Sports photographers (especially athletics) to have.
