Baldwins Eryngo Macro - 5D mark IV

These were taken with the 5D mark IV and EF 100mm f/2/8 macro lens and both were shot hand held using a wooden porch rail to rest my elbow on.

Aperture Priority f/14, ISO 1000, Shutter 1/200, Partial Metering, Full Sun.

This is the mature stage of the bloom and is maybe twice the size of a match head. Tiny tiny 🙂

Thank you, Rodger. Handheld macro is a bear. I'm not sure how much it helps, but when I bought the 100mm L macro, I spent extra to get the IS version. Generally, I shoot macro with a tripod but when I added this lens I thought it would be good for other types of photography, so I got the IS version. As it turns out, it was a good decision, It's pretty good for general shooting and a short tele (out to 10 feet) on crop sensor cameras. It's one of three macro lenses that we have (35mm and 50mm).
