Fun portrait photos

Because of the pandemic the school asked parents to provide head shots of their students wearing their sports jerseys so that the school can create composite team photos. I set things up to take some serious photos of my daughter in her soccer jersey but we also did some fun photos of her with her cat Vladimir Purrtin. Because Purrtin suddenly became camera shy, we sacrificed perfect setup for his shots to avoid being clawed and I took that part of the photo session very quickly 🙂

Shot with Canon 5DS R and 135 F2 lens @ 1/160, F6.3, ISO 100. Lighting: three Hensel Expert D 500 w/s strobes with 22" beauty dish on the main, snoot with grid for hair highlights on the second, and the third used to illuminate the backdrop. I think the 22" beauty dish was what disturbed the cat and he was glaring at it in the first photo, he probably thought it was some sort of death ray 🙂
