Searching for photos that convert well to black and white for the county fair, and converted this one that I think is better in monochrome than color.

I enjoy travelling and enjoying the beauty of other places but we are definitely blessed to live in beautiful surrounds.

I find that shooting with my film cameras especially, I'll be shooting color but the exposure system is perhaps not as "efficient" as it once was and then of course the image is "filtered" through the eccentricities of the film being used, so flipping to monochrome saves the day. Kodak Ektar and Portra are ironically not as good as Kodacolor for example despite costing more.

I'm getting to favor B&W photos. At one time, that was all we had. Complements for the photo.

Thanks John. I guess I'm developing the same leaning myself. Maybe it's because it's hard to oversaturate black and white! 🙂

I definitely like black and white better than the Thomas Kinkade oversaturated, overperfected color stuff that some people like to churn out.
