Photos from golf round

I shot these at the golf course with my new Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 lens. I’d appreciate any advice since I'm new to wildlife photography, coming from a background mainly in sports photography from school.

Camren_Line,

These are nice pictures, and I'd say, Keep doing what you're doing.

I hate doing this, but you asked for advice, so the only I'd say is, be mindful of the edges of your shots.

In the first picture, the two little trees on the right and left hand sides don't add anything to the picture, and you could crop them out.

In the fourth picture, you've got half of another bird in the frame over on the bottom right hand corner. You could crop him out.

In the fifth picture, there's a line of dark vegetation at the top of the frame that doesn't add anything to the picture and is a little jarring. You could crop it down from the top.

In your last picture, I'd cut out everything but the bird and the river and a little bit of your foreground leading up to him.

As much as what you put into a picture, photography is also what you leave out. Only include what adds to your story.

Please don't take offense at anything I've said. You're doing good. Keep at it.

Nice photos. Were you able to get a photo of a birdie?😉 Regarding the photo with the white crane, I would move it more to the right, implying it is looking at something to eat. As suggested, photography is what is included and edited.

Hey John, sadly we didn't have any that round😂 but I will for sure start thinking of things like that while taking photos and thanks for the advice
