Hi folks

As you can see from my title, I'm still experimenting with my EFS 24MM. But as recommended in a recent post, I turned off lens aberration correction, which I'd not done before. It's a dull, grey and rainy day here in Yorkshire, but I continue to be impressed by this small lens.

Photos taken on M 1/125, f5.6 and ISO Auto. RAW, One Shot.

Thanks for sharing. Yorkshire is one of those places we'd really like to visit someday. The scenery in "All Creatures Great and Small" and the books series well prior to that make the area sound quite lovely.

Hi

Thanks for your post.

Check out Last of the Summer Wine BBC TV series, as that is where I live. Its an old comedy series!

Some pictures of a sheep that looked like it needed as it was struggling to lamb, and blackish ram looking on.

And a sheep with 2 lambs, one that had got the wrong side of the gate which appealed to my dog!

Thanks! I'm sure my wife will look up Last Summer Wine and figure out a way to watch the whole series somehow. We love so many of the new and old what are here, PBS series. Sometimes being in the US we fail to learn of many of them. We've loved Foyle's War, Doc Martin, Repair Shop, and of course, Doughton Abbey. As we love whodunnits we've caught Grandchester, Sherlock and Miss Scarlet, Magpie series and a few others. Again, thanks for the recommendation - sounds like a fun series to watch.

I loved seeing Hyacinth and Richard get out into the countryside in Keeping Up Appearances and I love the landscape in Clarkson's Farm.

My fantasy vacation to the UK would involve two days of touristy things in London, a day in Blackpool to lay a wreath at the site of the bulldozed TVR factory, a day to lay a wreath at the site of the defunct Jensen factory in West Bromwich and then two weeks blasting around the countryside in some impossibly British car from yesteryear (hopefully from one of the aforementioned brands). Yes, I'm strange.

My complements on the photos. My favorite is the last one with the ewe and lambs at the gate. Why? The sheep focus on the center and the sheep have an attractive sky background. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John,

My walks, as in this case, involve my little dog, camera and often a flask of tea and a cookie. The sheep just happened along the way and I switched my camera on. I really ought to be more conscientious, and take my time to check my settings, and composition. But I'm multi tasking.

I'm not sure if you're question was about why the lamb had escaped, and short answer is, that's what lambs do (I think!).

But my walks in the Spring are a joy to me with wild flowers, birds nesting etc. Its very therapeutic (and free). My random photos just capture those moments.
