Some think that Golden Eagles are larger than Bald Eagles ? Well here is the skinny ! They are roughly the same size, with similar wing spans (6-8 feet). Bald Eagles appear more robust with larger head beaks, while Golden Eagles have a sleeker, more streamlined look with feather legs. In flight Bald Eagles soar with their wings held flat. Whereas Golden Eagles may show a slight "dihedral" (wings curved upward). Young Golden Eagles (Immature) are often confused with Goldens, but young Goldens have a distinct white patches on their wings and tails. Ultimately they are nearly identical in size, having the same or extremely similar, physical dimensions.
