Hi, GWT.

For the MF644Cdw, scanning photos is best performed one at a time, using either the MF Scan Utility or the printer's interface, alongside the flatbed.

If you wish to set a destination folder on the computer for scans, they may be set in the MF Scan Utility Settings window. The first tab at the top contains the options for the MF Scan Utility's own buttons, while the second tab contains settings for scanning from the printer.

Did this answer your question?

I have boxes of photos I want to scan to computer files. (all to the same file)

What is the most efficient (fastest) way to do this? For instance can I place several, say 4, photos on the platen and scan to 4 separate files? My MX922 would do this before it went belly-up.

Preferably they would be scanned directly to a folder I designate. That is to say NOT scanned to a scanner created folder named for the current date, that is within the folder I designate. i.e. Myfolder>xxxxxx.jpg. Can this be done?
