MB 2300 series printer every other inch is faded

I have a MB 2300 printer and it prints fine for 3/4-1 inch and then fades for the next 3/4 to 1 inch.

I have cleaned the print heads many times including deep cleaning.

I have cleaned the roller and the pan/tray with the options on the printer.

This was happening on the older cartridges and I just put in all new.

It seems to be only the black.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi gonzo970,

Please clean the encoder/timing strip inside of your printer, as if this is dirty or smudged, the printout can look like what you are experiencing.

Thanks but this didn't fix my problem. The MB2320 doesn't fit the instructions but I could get to the strip and clean it but it didn't make a difference. This also only happens with the black. It started with one cartridge and I replace it and it is still happening.
