MB5120 black printing isssues.

Printer either does not print black or prints it faintly. Tried maintenance tool suggestions to no avail. Is it fixable? Is it worth getting serviced.

Hi mluna20,

If the prints are blank or faint after 2 deep cleanings the printer would require service. To be honest it can cost more to repair a printer then it would be to replace it. If your printer is outside of it's one year warranty, you qualify for the Canon Upgrade program.

Tried something and it fixed the problem. I removed the black cartridge and reinserted it and the problem went away. I had to use the trick of moving the sprocket wheel.
