    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi redhead_asst!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I understand that this error is frustrating.&amp;nbsp; Please release the lock switch again and press the "STOP" button.&amp;nbsp; Next, power off the machine and unplug it from the wall for five minutes.&amp;nbsp; After plugging the machine back in and powering it on, please scan a document.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the error persists, we recommend that you contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
