Pixma iX6550 Smudges Transfer Paper

Smudges on printing transfer paper using transfer paper setting - Print Quality High, Auto Color/intensity.

Prints fine on normal paper.

Also prints fine on thermal paper using Media Type: Plain Paper setting.

Tried : Prevent paper abrasion - no change.

Increased ink drying time to max - no change.

Cleaned print head - no change.

Print head alignment - no change.

Nozzle check - everything is fine.

This is a brand spanking new printer. Suggestions??
