Greetings to the Canon Community!

I have tried scanning to email using gmail and setting the gmail account to allow less secure apps. I believe the canon IR 1730if only allows smtp over ssl, not the newer TLS protocol. SMTP over SSL uses port 465. I need to check the firewall settings also to make sure port 465 is open on the host at my office. The gmail server I have configured is smtp.gmail.com, but I know there are also smtp-relay.gmail.com and aspmx.l.google.com available, with restrictions noted at google's website.

Please let me know if you have any advice that may help me get this one solved.

You attention and help is greatly appreciated!

Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

David Tomblin
