      <title>MF8580Cdw is not scanning Error 255,0,0</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;MF8580Cdw is not scanning. It has only just started producing this error everytime I follow the following instructions:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Click Scan on machine, remote, and it says waiting&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On my computer I open up Toolbox and click scan B&amp;amp;W, it brings up Select Source: Platen Glass. No Auto Mode.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This has only started happening recently. What is the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then when I click scan. It says Error Code 255,0,0 Terminate Scanner Driver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Very Frustrating.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rose&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;forgot to mention when using MF Toolbox, error is 155,0,0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can't communicate with device, cable may be disconnected or turned off, check status, driver terminated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What I did was cleared all the settings on the printer itself and that worked.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I spent 2 hours with a Canon rep and he was not able to figure out what the problem was, after two ours all he recommended was a firewall install, which it did not make any since.&amp;nbsp; After we hung up I even tried it with the USB cable option and would still not work.&amp;nbsp; Then it occured to me to do a reset on the printer and that worked!&amp;nbsp; I hope that this helps anyone having issues with their Canon printers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
