    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've read so many posts on this I'm not sure there's hope. &amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Canon MF8380. &amp;nbsp;I'm WIRED on my network with DHCP off and a static IP. &amp;nbsp;I can print both wired and wirelessly through my network. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I attempt to scan and email, I get a report of Error - but nothing is clear as to what the issue is.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My email in the address book is accurate - no matter which address book record I choose, I get an error. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My settings:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Email addie: &amp;nbsp;xxxx@gmail.com (my email address)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Use POP: &amp;nbsp;turned off&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Use SMTP (checked)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Username: &amp;nbsp;xxxx@gmail.com (my email address)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Password: my password&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now, my password has special characters in it (like the Exclamation point) but I can't imagine that's causing issues. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My ports:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SMTP: 587&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've power cycled several times and after every change. &amp;nbsp;So frustrating!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
