topic MF216n error message for low toner preventing sleep in Office Printers

Hi,

We are using an MF216n in the office. We have had a low toner "error" notification on the screen for a while, but lately the red "error" light has come on and it's blinking cause it says to change the toner.

So 2 questions:

1) Can I turn off the error blinking light, like one can with most other printers (we have HP and Brother printers and they can).

2) The error blinking light (not the onscreen notification) is preventing the MF216n to go to sleep. It just stays on, screen and all, and can't even be put to sleep manually. If we turn off and on the printer, the blinking light goes away and the printer can go to sleep, but that's only until the next page gets printed. So how to avoid this?
