Maxify MB 2720 is no longer recognizing my paper cartridge # 2, so I cannot use it. HELP?

I have turned off the printer and turned it back on, I have turned off my computer and turned it back on, I have turned them both off and turned them back on, but still my computer Canon software suite doesn't even show cassette 2. It only shows "Auto-select" and below it Cassette 1. This is my second post on this matter and I really need some sort of assistance. Thank you

My Canon Maxify MB2720 gives me a cassette paper incompatibility message

When I attempt to print from MS Word using my Maxify MB 2720, it sets up to print but gives me a cassette paper incompatibility message, stating that cassette 1 does not have the correct paper (I know this because I have Photo paper in cassette 1 and regular Ink Jet paper in cassette 2 and have had for a couple of years). The printer menu that pops up on my computer screen, suddenly stopped showing cassette 2 and I cannot figure out how to tell it to recognize cassette 2 again. It's pretty weird, as it has worked for a couple of years, allowing me to select cassette 1 when printing photos and using cassette 2 for my printing needs. None of the forums that I searched allowed me to pinpoint my issue. I confess to being old, so maybe I am simply technologically insufficient to deal with this... at any rate, I could certainly use an assist with this issue. Thank you to whomever might respond.
