Problems with page orientation when booklet printing from indesign on a mac using MF753CDW II

I have a booklet with individual pages sized at 4'x5" that I am printing on custom sized 5"x8" paper. When I attempt to print from either InDesign or Acrobat the page spreads print at the incorrect orientation. I have the most current driver installed (dated 4.17.26) and have tried every suggestion I've found through google searching. I've tried printing from InDesign as well as from Acrobat. I have followed all the various instructions related to binding edge, using or not using facing pages, everything that the internet has served up to me to try. None of it works. Once I saw something about setting page size vs output paper size but cannot find any settings that correspond with those instructions. What exact steps do I need to perform in either InDesign or Acrobat to print my 56 page, 4"x5" (once saddle stitched) booklet on 5"x8" paper?
