    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a Canon Maxify GX4070 purchased in June 2025 and I have the exact same problem. Printer doesn't detect the paper in the ADF (No beep sound) for a good 5 min after I turn on the printer. When I called the customer support person, he told me that the issue is that the printer takes forever to process "the start up" and hence won't detect the paper in the ADF till the entire process is done. The process alone takes for 5 min and then the machine start detects the paper in the ADF with a beep. Printer doesn't have any issue scanning the paper from the platen or doesn't have any issue with printing documents right away or have issue with detecting document in the back feeder. Its the paper in the ADF that takes the longest time. When I force scan "From ADF" it gives me an error "No Feed Detected". Once good amount of time has passed, printer starts detecting the paper from ADF.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tried everything from plugging the printer into the laptop, updated all drivers and software etc but nothing seems to work. ITs like the printer has a mind of its own!!!! Hope Canon releases a fix ASAP.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kindly note, have been having this problem ever since day one and the technician is the one who setup my printer. Same technican came the second time and reported nothing wrong with the printer!!!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>MAXIFY GX4020 - ADF Constantly Jamming</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a GX4020 that's a little over a year old and has seen very light home usage. The scanner ADF has been used probably less than 20 times. Now when ever I try to use the ADF, it jams on the first page. Even with a single page it will jam, let alone multiple sheets.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The feeder grabs the top sheet and pulls it in about 2cm, then the paper stops moving while I can still hear the mechanism trying to pull it through. After a few seconds it beeps and gives an error. Clearing the error and jam then trying to scan again results in the same problem. I am only able to scan manually as multiple attempts using the ADF result in failure. I'd guess less than 1 in 10 attempts will actually succeed.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I've cleaned the rollers and have made sure there is nothing else stuck in the ADF. It still jams.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I reported this to Canon support and was told it was referred to another team to process and approve for exchange. However that was over 2 weeks ago (Feb 11) with no further updates. I suspect because my printer is out of the 1 year warranty period (bought Nov 2023, problems reported Jan 2025) they are not going to do anything.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this working? I purchased this printer because it was supposed to be reliable. It looks like it's time to abandon it and Canon for a different brand.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
