the download mode message is what remains after the restart. Any ideas before I contact the service center?

My MF273DW is stuck in download mode, connected the USB, and the firmware says it does not need to updated.

holding the stop key, and powering on does nothing, as soon as the boot up is complete the printer restarts and the same message pops up

Greetings,

Sounds like you've already tried both of the documented methods to resolve the " stuck in download mode" error. If you're not able to run the currently available firmware v04.16 (available as of this posting) the next step is to contact Canon support.

Canon Support for imageCLASS MF273dw | Canon U.S.A., Inc. https://share.google/IUFyvY5VzsgQWiSt2

Start by registering your product and your my Canon account.

https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/

Then contact support
