&lt;P&gt;While MACs do support Airprint, the device support you get can be limited.&amp;nbsp; Its best to install the drivers for your product to get the most from your printer.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>imageCLASS MF272dw won't print via USB</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings - I recently relocated to Japan and purchased an MF272dw printer. I have it connected to a Macbook Air running OS 12.7.6 using a new USB cable. The printer shows up in preferences, and when I attempt to print a PDF it also shows up in Print. When I hit the print button nothing happens. WhenI check the printer in preferences it shows "in use, last used". Open Print Queue shows the file and "Printing - looking for printer" with a blue bar cycling back and forth. Needless to say this is frustrating. I've used many computer/printer combos and have never had this much difficulty.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Any help will be much appreciated, thanks&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would make sure your drivers are installed correctly. The fact you purchased it in Japan should not keep it from working, in my opinion. The website will sense your operating system so you can download Mac drivers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Derrick, I tried Canon USA. They wanted me to input the serial number and was told it was invalid. Looks like they have nothing to do with Japan purchased products, which is kind of strange as they are a Japanese company.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Rick - The Setup Utility is for PCs, so out of luck there. It's also for wireless, which I'm not interested in. Will only be using the printer via USB.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the effort.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The printer shows up on printer preferences as online, and in Print Queue it shows 'printing' with the blue band bouncing back and forth, but no actual printing taking place.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Are you connecting the printer before running the installer?&amp;nbsp; You should run the installer first, then connect the printer only when prompted to do so.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Remove the program from the applications folder to trash.&amp;nbsp; Disconnect the USB cable.&amp;nbsp; Remove the printer instance from Printers and Scanners using (-).&amp;nbsp; Restart your MAC and run the installer.&amp;nbsp; Does it give you a different option?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Are you certain your USB cable is compatible, and you are not using an adapter or dongle?&amp;nbsp; If none of this helps, I would contact Canon Support in Japan.&amp;nbsp; The software does not appear to be working for USB correctly.&amp;nbsp; The utility I referenced is definitely correct.&lt;/P&gt;
