Hi! I just purchased this printer and the printing works great. The copier and scanner will not work. I get an error 301 ive tried restarting nothing seems to work. Its brand new and I believe regardless of the drivers the copy function should still work. Help! Thanks...

Based on the information I found , the MF3010 is about 14 years old. Where did you buy it? It is a USB only device. The copy function should work without you connecting the printer to anything.

Amazon...just needed a simple B&W printer/copier for my classroom. It works via USB fine to print but when i try to copy I get an error message that says E 301. Doesnt seem to light up to copy it just does nothing then error.

Greetings,

Move the printer to a different electrical socket. Plug it in, power up and try the copy function again. If you continue to receive an e301 error, I would return the printer.
