I saw one yesterday when setting up my new machine, but can't locate now. Help? it is a map, or tree, of all the sub-functions on the small printer screen. Tks

Greetings,

Log into the Remote UI as System Manager. Select Application Library button (right hand side). Then Home Screen Button Display settings (left side nav pane) 🙂

Shadowsports, thanks so much. Would you have time to help me understand the UI? I have my iphone and ipad connected through our home lan, but I cannot find any useable instruction for setting up the UI. It does stand for user interface, yes? Where, other than your experience, do you find useable instructions? The new user manual is ok for some stuff, but assumes other stuff. Thanks for your time, I know it is precious.

Hi Dorothy,

Yes. UI stands for user interface. Like a router or BIOS, It's a user configurable interface that allows you to set features, parameters and security settings for the printer. The user guide is probably the best place for information since it is searchable. The knowledge base cannot be searched as easily so I'd stick with the manual. Help is also built into the UI. If you have a question about a certain feature, I'd be happy to try and help.
