need to reset system manger PIN on MF267dw

Is it really true that if you lose the System Manager PIN for an MF267dw, you need to contact Canon to reset it? I would think there would be a hard-reset function that would reset it to default? Thanks for any help.

You will need to contact Canon support to reset your PIN if you have misplaced or forgotten it.

Start by registering your device in your MyCanon account

Then call 800-652-2666.
