UPDATE: got no responses on either forum post so called Canon help.

Worked through it with a tech for about half an hour, finally got it to work by leaving the paper type setting at 'Plain 2 (19 - 23 lb bond)' instead of 'Labels'. Tech was very helpful!

Pretty nonintuitive result, but that tracks with it being a pretty nonintuitive error message

imageCLASS MF287dw - Printing shipping labels

I've been trying to print shipping labels -- specifically Avery 5126 laser labels, which are on 8.5 x 11 backing sheets.

I've tried printing with one sheet in the drawer or multiple sheets.

(As far as I know this printer does not have a 'multipurpose' drawer -- just the main supply drawer on the bottom.)

I've used the setup utility to specify 'labels' as the paper type. It has sent confirmation messages to the control panel confirming this setting ('LTR: Label').

I've been printing from a PDF document in the Adobe PDF viewer.

Every time, when I try to print, it gives the same message:

No Paper

LTR

Any ideas?

Thanks!
