      <title>imageCLASS D550 -Download mode problems</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Windows 10.&amp;nbsp; Imageclass D550 went to "download mode USB available" yet again.&amp;nbsp; This has happened several times over the years, usually when I have to power down the printer to do electrical work in my home.&amp;nbsp; I have always gotten it up and running again but this time it's not happening.&amp;nbsp; Canon will not take a support query from me as they say the printer is obsolete.&amp;nbsp; I attempted to re-intall the original drivers from the CD-Rom, tried updating firmware from the Canon website and drivers, etc. but no luck.&amp;nbsp; Tried the unplug for 10 minutes, a full day, etc.&amp;nbsp; This is a good unit, works well and does NOT need to be replaced.&amp;nbsp; I just need to get it running again.&amp;nbsp; There has to be a way.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The answer that is a non-answer.&amp;nbsp; Planned obsolescence as its finest!&amp;nbsp; In our throw it away world, I tend to refuse to refuse!&amp;nbsp; I see no reason to toss this printer when it was working fine.&amp;nbsp; Surely someone has a "fix" to get this thing up and running again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any OTHER 'help"?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
