Was following this other post (https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Office-Printers/Canon-imageCLASS-MF455dw-Firmware-Communications-Error/m-p/381612#M16647)

I can't get my MF455DW to update over USB or Ethernet when using the Canon firmware updater app. My laptop is Win11.

1) There's two USB ports on back, the square printer port and the std USB-A port. I can connect printer to the square USB but updater will not find the local printer. The USB-A port does not appear to work at all. Does the updater only work on USB-A ?

2) I tried to cable into the rear Ethernet, but I think my 455 is missing the connections internally. I have WiFi configured, and from that other thread I listed he says to do a "Update from PC" from the touchscreen, but I don't have that option in the touchscreen, I suspect maybe because it's old firmware, hence wanting to update to the firmware released in Feb 2025.

3) I try to do Firmware update from touchscreen, but it keeps downloading something that is just north of 124MB, I see it in my internet firewall logs, it never finishes doing any updating though. I canceled the update after seeing the download 3 times in my FW logs.

Any ideas?
